Conservation areas documentation

Having designated a Conservation Area, the Local Planning Authority has a statutory duty to ensure that those elements which make up its special character or appearance should be preserved or enhanced, especially when considering planning applications.

We have received government funding to improve our planning digital data through the MHCLG Digital Planning Improvement fund: Round 2.

Conservation areas datasets were enhanced as part of the award funding these are available from this webpage, and can be explored in the map of planning data for England: Map of planning data for England | Planning Data.

Licence

This dataset has been published by New Forest District Council under the Open Government Licence  Open Government Licence (nationalarchives.gov.uk). This licence has been applied following the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement 'presumption to publish' process.

CONA01 Ashlett Creek Conservation Area

This conservation area straddles the boundary with the New Forest National Park Authority.

The current Ashlett Creek Conservation Area was designated in 1993 and last amended in 2010.

CONA05 Breamore Conservation Area

This conservation area straddles the boundary with the New Forest National Park Authority.

CONA07 Buckland Conservation Area

This conservation area straddles the boundary with the New Forest National Park Authority.

CONA24 Keyhaven Conservation Area

Minimal information for Keyhaven is provided, as NFDC is shown as the responsible organisation only for very small areas (visible when using large scale mapping) that overlap the boundary with NFNPA, due to GIS digitisation issues out of our control. CONA25 Kings Saltern Conservation Area
