Starting a new business

New businesses play a significant role in the economic growth and prosperity of the New Forest. Not only do they create jobs, they also improve the economy through innovation and finding new ways of working.

Starting a new business can be an extremely daunting task. We work with partners, including the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), to ensure businesses can access impartial advice to help them start and grow.

There are many different business support options and routes for you to take, depending on the business, your growth plans and the type of support you require.

Starting in January 2023, we have launched a new business start-up scheme which is being delivered by small business support experts IncuHive. This service is completely free of charge to New Forest residents or businesses. Find out more about New Forest start-up business support
