23 October 2024. We have given students from Brockenhurst College a tour of their latest housing development in New Milton on 21 and 23 October.
Household Waste and Recycling Centres in the New Forest will not close - our statement
14 October 2024. We are delighted to hear that tier 3 and tier 4 Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in Hampshire, including two in the New Forest district area at Marchwood and Somerley, will not be closed.

2 October. We have allocated £4.5m of funding towards projects across the district.
Reviewing our climate action from the last year
2 October 2024. At Cabinet today (2 October), we reviewed our Climate Change and Nature Emergency Annual Report for 2023/2024, which highlights the progress made in tackling climate change and improving nature recovery across the district.
Park improvement works complete in New Milton
26 September. Two parks in New Milton have been upgraded as part of a programme to enhance local green spaces in the New Forest.
New waste collection service due for the New Forest, 2025 to 2026
12 September 2024. We are progressing with arrangements for a new waste collection service for the district, to improve recycling and reduce waste.
Our housing service scores high satisfaction rating
8 July 2024. We have scored 81% tenant satisfaction for our housing landlord services.
