30 November 2023. There are some changes to household recycling and rubbish collections in the New Forest district over Christmas and New Year.
30 November 2023. Cllr Jill Cleary has now been Leader for one year. With responsibility for the overall strategy of the council and the Cabinet, she has reflected on her first year and what the priority projects are for the New Forest.
29 November 2023. We are continuing our work to reduce carbon emissions and support nature recovery by storing and maintaining young trees at a new site in Lyndhurst.
28 November 2023. We will discuss at our Cabinet meeting (6 December 2023) about supporting Freedom Leisure by contributing towards the additional cost of energy at the district's five leisure centres arising from unforeseen global influences over the last couple of years.
Updated December 2023. An update to our plans for a new waste and recycling service has been discussed at our Sustainability Overview and Scrutiny Panel meeting (Wednesday 22 November), and our Cabinet meeting (Wednesday 6 December).
17 October 2023. Newly granted powers were used in the New Forest this summer to intervene in over 150 incidents involving petting and feeding New Forest ponies or donkeys and a ban on the use of BBQs and fires.
