Communal and shared bins

If you share communal bins for waste collections, the waste containers you use for the new service may be different. This may apply to you if you live in a flat.

Find out when the new waste collections will start for your household and what waste containers you will use for new waste collections.

Before your new waste collections start, we will write to you with more information. This will include how to use the new service, when your new food waste caddy will be delivered, available support, your collection days, and start date.

Your new food waste collections

We will collect your food waste every week.

Your property will get a grey indoor food waste caddy (5 litre).

You will use a new food waste communal bin for food waste collections. This will go in your shared bin store area before and be installed in time for your new waste collections.

Please do not use your food waste communal bin until your new waste collections start. A few weeks before your new waste collections are due to start, we will write to you confirming your start date.

Recycling and rubbish collections

We will collect your recycling and rubbish on alternate weeks - rubbish will be collected on one week and recycling the next week.

The bins we provide will vary for different properties sharing communal bins.

Some properties will get new communal bins for recycling and rubbish. We will make sure everything is ready before the new waste collections start.
