2025 updates
The site continues to be monitored by the Site Monitoring Officer
February 2025
- The contractor is continuing with construction on site, specifically in relation to the required infrastructure and construction of some of the plots
- Soakways have been excavated and installed
- Everton Road drainage work is complete and the road is open
- Plots 60-64, 68 and 75-87 have commenced construction of their foundations
- Issues regarding the development have been raised with the developer via the Parish Council.
- The Site Manager and NFDC Site Monitoring Officer inspected the site to assess the identified issues:
- Everton Road: The site manager has addressed lorries parking and blocking access, and ensured they are not arriving outside approved times in the Construction Environmental Management Plan
- Everton Road: Highways Authority have approved taped cones place on edge of pavement to provide a barrier for children and prevent lorries mounting the pavement
- Water bowser is in use three times a day to control dust on haul roads.
- Wheel washing facilities are in place for site vehicles exiting, with run off directed through a filter system into a temporary soakaway
- Road sweeper provides removal of soil not used in development, and once a week to remove mud from the road; this will be increased to twice a week
- A temporary eight-point filtration system is in-situ to address any water run off from the site into a local stream, until construction in the affected area begins
February 2025
- The contractor is continuing with construction on site, specifically in relation to the required infrastructure
- A temporary road closure is in place on Everton Road to enable drainage to be connected to the main, unexpected problems might delay these works
- The first two drain runs on the site itself have been constructed, backfilling and road construction over the top of these has commenced
- The plots will commence construction after this work has been completed
- The Site Monitoring Officer noted that the road is being cleaned after each delivery to prevent mud accumulation and no issues have been raised to date
