The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how we will consult and involve others in planning matters in New Forest (outside the National Park).
The SCI only relates to Planning and is a statutory document which sets out the consultation and engagement methods that we will use to involve interested residents, groups, organisations, businesses and other representatives and individuals in the planning process. It explains who will be consulted, when and how. The document describes how we will involve the community and stakeholders in the preparation and review of planning policy documents and the consideration of planning applications.

We have published a revised Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) for public consultation from Wednesday 8 July 2020 - Friday 21 August 2020. You can view the document on the link below:
The changes between the currently adopted document and this revised one are highlighted in red.
If adopted, this revised version will replace the previous SCI adopted in 2015.
Comments made on the revised document during the public consultation period will be taken into account when finalising the SCI. The final document will be considered by the Council's Cabinet for adoption.
