Paying rent

The quickest and easiest way to pay your rent is through our online form.

Pay by Direct Debit

We recommend paying by Direct Debit. This is the easiest way to pay. You can download the Direct Debit mandate form below or set it up online.

To set up your Direct Debit online you will need your 7-digit tenancy number. This can be found on your initial rent card letter or any rent statement.

If you cannot find your tenancy number, please email housing.business@nfdc.gov.uk or call 02380 285 222 and speak to a member of the housing team who will be happy to assist you.

Direct Debit collection dates

We collect rent payments on either the 1st or the 15th day of the month, depending on your chosen date. If the collection date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, payment will be collected the next working day.

Automated payment by phone

You can make an automated payment using a debit or credit card, by calling 0300 456 0626.

We cannot accept payments using American Express, Diners or Electron cards.

If you make payments over the telephone our process has changed. You will be transferred to a secure payment line where you will be asked to enter your card details using your telephone keypad.

Online banking

You can use online banking, standing order or BACS to pay your rent. Make sure you use these details:

  • Sort code: 30-80-63
  • Account number: 29293160
  • Name: NFDC Collection Account
  • Reference: This is your seven-digit tenancy reference number

In person

You can pay your rent in person at any of our Information Offices
