2024 updates

December 2024

A ROSPA safety report has now been received for the play area. The Open Spaces Officer is liaising with the developer to clarify delivery timescales for any defects/works identified in the report.

 

November 2024

An updated list of snags/defects has been sent to the developer for their attention and action.

Prior to transfer of the play areas the developer will be required to produce a ROSPA safety report.

 

September 2024

We are still engaging with the developer with regards to the remaining outstanding items to enable the transfer process to progress.

The Open Spaces Officer continues to liaise with the developer to try to progress transfer of the POS (Public Open Space).

 

August 2024

The Open Spaces Officer continues to liaise with the developer to move towards transfer of the POS (Public Open Space).

 

July 2024

Some of the remedial works to enable practical completion and the commencement of the land transfer to the Council have been carried out. Others are still due to be completed.

The Open Spaces Officer continues to liaise with the developer to complete this process. A defects sum for the outstanding works on site is being negotiated between the Council and the developer.

The remedial works required to be carried out by the developer continue to be monitored by the Open Spaces Officer.  The Open Spaces Officer continues to liaise with the developer to progress the transfer of the POS (Public Open Space).

 

February 2024

  • The NFDC Development Management Service Manager has engaged with the developer to progress outstanding matters. The developer has since informed us of the dates by which works should be carried out in the short term and they will be monitored by the Open Spaces Officer.
  • The Western SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Green space) now has an opening through to the new ANRG (Alternative Natural Recreational Greenspace) at the new Tinkers Cross site. The lower section of this ANRG is open for public use.
