- Defence Transition Service - run by the MOD's Veterans UK and provides information and support for those service leavers and their families who are most likely to face challenges as they leave the armed forces and adjust to civilian life.

- Career Transition Partnership - GOV.UK - The Career Transition Partnership is the official resettlement service for the armed forces. It provides comprehensive personal support for service leavers who are transitioning from their military career into civilian employment, further education or retirement.

Local meetups and events
17 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC hold a monthly breakfast club at St George's Cookhouse, 17RLC, McMullen Barracks, Cracknore Hard Lane, Southampton, SO40 4ZG with the aim of coming together as an Armed Forces Family, catching up with friends, helping social interaction and mental health, talking about current and past experiences, offering support towards housing (SFA's and social), resettlement support for civilian life, job networking, Family Services support and offer fitness advice. It is open to all current and ex-military services, all ranks, all ages and families.
The breakfast club is held on the fourth Saturday of the month between 1000 hrs to 1200 hrs. All personnel attending will need to book into the Guardroom on arrival and will need photographic ID (ideally your Veteran ID Card), you will then be directed to the Cookhouse.
