A local enforcement plan outlines our approach to encouraging compliance with our regulations and policies in a way that is in line with current government legislation and guidance.

The plan explains how breaches of planning control will be investigated.  It also provides a common reference point and guidance on a range of options available to achieve compliance.     The plan also sets out the priorities we have for investigating alleged breaches of planning control.

Our latest enforcement plan was approved by Cabinet on 6 April 2022.
