Who does what in the New Forest

In the New Forest, there are three tiers of local government.

There is Hampshire County Council, us at New Forest District Council, and your local town or parish council. The National Park Authority and Forestry England also have areas of responsibility.

Some of these services have more than one authority or organisation responsible.

This graphic shows who is responsible for some of the most commonly requested topics.

A list is also provided below as an alternative format.
