Results of the review
Recommendations were considered and agreed at Council on Monday 10 October 2022.

These maps have been designed to identify the polling district boundaries and polling places for each ward as set out in the Returning Officer's final recommendations. These proposed changes are subject to final approval.

Background of the review
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) has reviewed the district and parish wards in the New Forest.
As a result, there will be an decrease in the number of district wards, from 34 to 26, and some boundaries will change.
These new wards will come into effect for the May 2023 local elections.
We carried out a review to look at creating new polling districts and places.
We made some initial recommendations on the changes we might need to make.

We made contact with known disability groups within the district to request their input and guidance to improve our polling stations for those voting with any type of disability.
