New Forest Apprenticeship and Skills Hub.

We have partnered with Solent Business & Skills Solutions to launch the New Forest Apprenticeship and Skills Hub.

This offers free and impartial advice to New Forest based organisations of any size regarding apprenticeship and skills training, helping to remove the barriers of entry for businesses eager to invest in the development of their workforce.

The hub can help organisations in the New Forest with:

  • finding the most suitable training provider
  • choosing the relevant apprenticeship or skills programme for the organisation and its workforce
  • guidance on funding apprenticeship training, levy transfers and sourcing apprentices

Most importantly,  advice is tailored to your organisation, as what suits one business may not be the best solution for another.

New Forest District Council has received funding from the UK Government, through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and this means the services provided by the Hub are completely free of charge to New Forest organisations.

The hub is delivered by Solent Business & Skills Solutions (SBSS) who are well known across the Solent for their business support services which provides a variety of measures to help businesses succeed including apprenticeships and other skills training.

You can contact an advisor on the Solent Business & Skills Solutions website.

This initiative is one of a number being delivered by our economic development team to support the district's businesses and high streets.

New Forest District Council has been allocated funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government's Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
