Garden Waste - early sign up offer 2023 privacy notice

New Forest District Council is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For the purpose of the 2018 General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Controller is New Forest District Council ('the Council'), Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, Hampshire SO43 7PA ( ) .

The council has a garden waste collection service.  This will change from sacks to a wheeled bin service later in 2023 and residents who provide their email address will be emailed about a £25 price reduction before it is publicised elsewhere.

This Privacy Notice aims to explain:

We use your information to add you to a mailing list to be informed about the £25 price reduction.

The information we collect is stored on the Council's secure IT system.

We will retain the email address until December 2023.

We do not share the email database with anyone else.
