Public toilets

We provide public toilets at 23 locations in the district. For facilities in the New Forest National Park you can check the visitor sites listed on the Forestry England website

Public toilet locations and opening times

In strong winds and storms we may close our public toilets at the coast for safety reasons. This may be at short notice.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Our public toilets are open from 7am to 7pm, except Eling Hill car park which is open from 7am to 4pm.

Water bottle refill stations

We have water bottle refill stations at four of our toilet sites:

  • Lyndhurst public toilets, High Street, SO43 7NY
  • Beaulieu public toilets, Palace Lane, SO42 7UX
  • Sea Road public toilets, Sea Road, Milford on Sea, SO41 0DA
  • Ringwood Gateway public toilets, The Furlong, Ringwood, BH24 1EY. This facility is temporarily closed for maintenance.

Adult Changing Places rooms

Three of our public toilets have facilities for adult Changing Places rooms for people with disabilities. These sites include a hoist for carers to provide assistance. Their locations are:

  • Bath Road public toilets, Bath Road, Lymington, SO41 3SE
  • Sea Road public toilets, Sea Road, Milford on Sea, SO41 0DA
  • New Milton Recreation Ground public toilets, Old Milton Road, New Milton, BH25 6DT. This facility is temporarily closed for repairs.

People with disabilities

All of our public toilets have facilities for people with disabilities.

Disabled facilities are kept locked using the RADAR key scheme. If you are registered disabled, these keys can be obtained free of charge from the information offices. Alternatively, you can call customer services on 023 8028 5000 or email customer.services@nfdc.gov.uk.

Baby changing

All of our public toilets have facilities for baby changing except Calshot Spit car park.

Cleaning schedule

We aim to provide public toilet facilities that are clean, safe and in good working order.

All of our toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day and are cleaned every day with the exception of Christmas Day.
