Chapter 1: Introduction

1.1.      This Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS) covers the New Forest District Council (NFDC) area (outside the National Park). 

1.2.      This IFS is a factual report which summaries the amount of developer contributions obtained, allocated and spent in the previous financial year (April 2021 - March 2022). The IFS sets out how the money collected through both Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) has been used and how Section 106 agreements (S106) within the New Forest District Council have been used over the past year. 

1.3.      In accordance with the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations, any authority that receives a contribution for development through the levy or Section 106 planning obligations must prepare an Infrastructure Funding Statement.      

1.4.      The financial year to which this document relates is 2022/23
