Children's play areas

Our play areas for children cover a range of ages and play types. These range from formal play equipment to grassy mounds, to encourage imaginative games and inclusive play by all abilities.

All our play areas display signs stating the recommended age range of the area. The signs include the play area's postcode, should it be required in an emergency.

You can locate a play area or skate park by searching our online map system.

For the safety of children at play, we do not allow the following within the majority of our play areas:

• dogs
• ball games
• smoking
• bicycles
• kite flying

Please refer to local signage for clarification.

Our responsibilities

These play areas are inspected monthly, to ensure the equipment and its surroundings are in a safe condition for children to use.
