You can check what day we come to collect your rubbish and recycling, glass and garden waste.

Check using postcode lookup

You can use our online postcode lookup to check what day your waste is collected.

We are introducing a new waste collection service in 3 phases across the district. Phase 1 starts in June 2025. This may mean your collection days change. We will write to you nearer your start date to let you know your collection days.

Information for garden waste customers

If you have an online garden waste account, you can login to your account to view your collection dates for garden waste. If you do not have an account and need help setting one up, please email customer.services@nfdc.gov.uk or call 023 8028 5000.

Collection schedule

Black rubbish sacks and clear recycling sacks

These are collected every week. Put your sacks out at the edge of your property no earlier than 6pm the day before, and by 6am on your collection day

Glass collection boxes

These are emptied every 4 weeks. Put your box out just within the edge of your property by 7am on your collection day

Garden waste bins

These are emptied every 2 weeks. Put your bin out at the edge of your property by 6am on your collection day.

If any of the above are not collected, contact us to report a missed collection.

Household glass collection calendar

You can view and print off our 2024/25 household glass collection calendar. Once you have printed off the calendar, add your collection day to check your collection dates for 2024/25.

There are no changes to your glass collection day.
