Pocket guide launched for residents

30 October 2024

We have introduced a new pocket-sized guide designed to be a valuable resource for residents across the district.

The guide provides essential contact information and explains who does what in the New Forest, clarifying our role, Hampshire County Council, and town and parish councils.

In addition to the contact details, the guide highlights our new Corporate Plan for 2024 to 2028, offering residents a concise overview of our priorities and goals over the next four years. It also shares interesting facts and statistics about the New Forest area and features the 50 facts about council services which NFDC has released throughout 2024 to mark its 50th anniversary as a district council.

Cllr Jill Cleary, our leader, said: "We hope our pocket guide will become a handy go-to resource for residents. Not only does it provide quick access to important contact information, it also gives people a better understanding of the work we're doing to serve the New Forest community. I would encourage everyone to pick up a free copy from our information offices and keep it handy."

The free guide is available now from our information offices.
