Pay council invoices by Direct Debit
To set up a Direct Debit you will need your customer ID number, post code and your bank details. Customer ID numbers can be found on the top right-hand side of an invoice; it is 8 digits long starting with 100.
You can set up a Direct Debit for the following services, please do not try and set up a Direct Debit for anything else:
- beach huts
- Keyhaven river mooring
- Appletree Careline
- service charges
- commercial rent and or service charge
- pest control
- business waste - bulk refuse and mixed recycling

Third party payers
If you are setting up a Direct Debit on behalf of someone, please enter their customer ID number as this is the account you want to set the Direct Debit up for, however you enter your details on the Direct Debit form.
Joint signatures
If you are setting up a Direct Debit from a bank account that requires two signatures to set up a Direct Debit, you will need to complete a paper mandate and post it to us or drop it into your local office.
This is for bank accounts that require all parties to sign when setting up and making payments.
This is different to joint bank accounts where any party can sign.
Please email sundy.income@nfdc.gov.uk requesting a Direct Debit form, please provide your customer ID number and the service you want the Direct Debit to be set up for.
