Disposal of dead animals
If a dead animal is reported to us that is on the road or on public land, we will arrange to remove and dispose of it.
Dead animals that are on the highway may present a danger to road users and will be removed as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, we cannot remove and dispose of small animals such as birds, mice, rabbits or squirrels.
If a dead animal is on private land, it is the landowner's responsibility to dispose of it.
