Dog fouling is an offence. We provide dog waste bins and general litter bins for disposing of bagged dog waste.
You can report dog fouling issues to us. You can also report stray or lost dogs and dead animals.
Clearing up after your dog
Dog fouling is an offence. The council can issue a Fixed Penalty Notice of £50 to anyone who fails to clear up after their dog. The law states that being unaware a dog has fouled or not having a suitable bag is not a reasonable excuse.
You can use any plastic bag to pick up your dog's waste. It must be put in a public dog waste bin or a public litter bin for general waste.
You should always take plastic bags or 'poop-scoops' with you every time you walk your dog .
Dog waste from your garden can be double-bagged and put in your black rubbish sack.
