Stanford Hill Appeal

An appeal has been made to the Secretary of State against the decision of New Forest District Council to refuse to grant planning permission under application 20/10481. For those who commented on the 2019 scheme for 45 apartments, the appeal against the refusal of that application was withdrawn.  The appeal will be determined on the basis of an Inquiry. The procedure to be followed is set out in the Town and Country Planning Appeals (Determination by Inspectors) (Inquiries Procedure) (England) Rules 2000.

The appeal will be considered by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State under Section 79 of the Town & Country Planning Act (as amended) at a Public Inquiry which will start at 10:00am on 11 May 2021. The Inquiry will be held as a virtual event run by an Inspector in the normal way, but with the parties invited to join via Microsoft Teams or telephone.

Registered participants, in whatever capacity, will receive individual joining instructions, providing details of any requirements, guidance and support, whether joining by Teams or telephone. You should note that the event may be recorded by the Planning Inspectorate for training and quality assurance purposes.

The decision will be made by the Inspector after the close of the Hearing and may take several weeks before it is published. When made, the decision will be published on GOV.UK and can be viewed using the search facility: https://www.gov.uk/appeal-planning-inspectorate
