Cash grants

Some businesses may be eligible for Government grants to help support them.

The Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Scheme offers cash grants of £25,000 where the business property's rateable value is between £15,000 and £51,000, and £10,000 where the rateable value is less than £15,000.

A further discretionary grant is available for retail, leisure and hospitality businesses with a rateable value of between £51,000 and £75,000 only. The level of grant available will be subject to the volume of applications received and the funding remaining against New Forest District Council's initial allocation. Businesses eligible for this fund will be contacted individually and should apply using the online form below.

The Small Business Grant provides funding of £10,000 for all businesses in receipt of Small Business Rate Relief or Rural Rate Relief

To be eligible for either of these grants, you need to have been in occupation at your business premises and the ratepayer on or before 11 March 2020.

There are some exclusions, including properties used for personal usage such as beach huts and private stables.

You can apply for a Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant or Small Business Grant using the online form below.

To complete this form you will need your Business Rates account number, which starts with 30 and can be found on your bill. If you have more than one property eligible for a grant, you will need to make a separate application for each property.
