Directions to Appletree Court, Lyndhurst

By road from London and the south east

Join M25 southbound.

Take M3 turn off (Junction 12) heading towards Basingstoke/Southampton.

Follow M3 to Junction 13 (M27 West).

Take M27 West turn off to Bournemouth.

Leave M27 at Exit 1 (Cadnam and Lyndhurst).

By road from south west

Lyndhurst can be approached from one of two ways.

From the A31 at Ringwood / Dorchester area which joins the M27 at Junction 1.

From the A36 at Salisbury / Warminster which joins the M27 at Junction 2.

From either direction you should leave the M27 at Junction 1 (Cadnam and Lyndhurst).

By road from the north

Join M1 or A1 southbound.

Leave M1 at Junction 6a or leave A1 at Junction 1.

Then follow directions as for London and the South East.


By road from the west

Join M4 eastbound to Junction 18

Follow A46 towards Batheaston

Pick up A36 to Warminster

Now follow directions 'By Road From South West'


By road from the Midlands

Join M40 or M1 southbound.

Join M25 to junction 12.

Take M3 turn off towards Basingstoke / Southampton.

Now follow directions as for London / South East.


For all national routes:

Leave the M27 at Exit 1 (Cadnam and Lyndhurst)

At bottom of slip road turn left at roundabout

At next roundabout take 3rd exit to Lyndhurst - A337

On entering Lyndhurst you turn left (compulsory) at the Traffic Lights

Stay in the left hand lane all the way down the High Street

At the bottom of the High Street on the right hand side, next to the Lyndhurst Park Hotel, and opposite the Fire Station is a turning to Beaulieu.

Take this right turning, go over the cattle grid, and then turn immediately right again.

Follow this road over another cattle grid and into the grounds of Appletree Court.

Parking for visitors is to the left immediately in front of the main building.


By rail

There are no train stations in Lyndhurst itself.

The closest station is Brockenhurst, which is part of South West Railways network. Main joining stations to commence your journey include Waterloo, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Weymouth. The telephone number of South West Trains is 0345 484950.

From Brockenhurst station you will require a short bus or taxi ride, 10 - 15 minutes.

By bus

The bus service to Lyndhurst runs half hourly. From Totton, Lymington or Brockenhurst you need to catch a No. 56 or 56A.

The Bus stop in Lyndhurst is located by the Fire Station. Opposite the Fire Station is a turning to Beaulieu. You will see a signpost saying "Council Offices".

Follow the road in the direction of the sign, over the cattle grid and into the grounds of Appletree Court.

The main entrance is over to the left by the visitors parking.
