New facilities at two of our Health and Leisure Centres

New Forest District Council has unveiled two new facilities at their Health and Leisure Centres in Applemore (Dibden) and New Milton.

Applemore Health and Leisure Centre's new fitness studio was officially opened by Cllr Allan Glass, Vice Chairman, and Cllr James Binns, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Wellbeing on Wednesday 27 June.   The studio gives Applemore a designated fitness studio for group fitness classes.

New Milton Health and Leisure Centre celebrated the opening of a dedicated free-weights room with Cllr Mel Kendal, Chairman, and Cllr James Binns cutting the ribbon.  The new 121 m2 facility offers a comprehensive selection of latest free weight training equipment from Life Fitness including power racks, half racks, and plate loaded hammer strength machines.

Cllr James Binns said "These new facilities are being provided to ensure our centres remain up to date with latest fitness trends, and to meet what our customers have told us they would like to see. The dedicated free-weights room at New Milton and the brand new fitness studio at Applemore look really fantastic and offer the local community first class facilities."
