Flying the flag for Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day flag raising Jun 18 New Forest District Council is supporting Armed Forces Day by flying the flag to honour the Armed Forces community. 

On Monday 25 June 2018 Councillor Melville Kendal, Chairman of New Forest District Council raised the Armed Forces flag outside the council's Appletree Court offices in Lyndhurst.   The flag will fly until the end of Armed Forces day on Saturday the 30 June 2018.

Councillor Melville Kendal was joined by Vice Chairman, Councillor Allan Glass, leader of the Council, Councillor Barry Rickman and Chief Executive Bob Jackson.

Armed Forces Day is a great way to raise awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
