Confidence away from home

Want to know how a simple wristband could help you or a relative feel safer away from home?

Mr Horne Mr Horne is one of our customers in Barton-On-Sea.  He had a fall a few years ago when he was 93 and told us that many people came to his assistance to help him up.  Mr Horne said that whilst he was not hurt, he felt a loss of pride having fallen over in a public place. A friend told him about the wristband service and now Mr Horne says he is feeling much more confident when outside.

'Appletree Careline' is our community alarm service, and we can also provide an ID wristband service for anyone who may be losing their confidence, becoming less mobile, or prone to falls when out and about.  This service provides the wearer with the reassurance that if they get into difficulty in a public place, the right help can be quickly arranged.

  • The ID wristband is not just for older people, it can also provide confidence and reassurance to anyone with a physical, sensory or learning disability

  • The silicone band has a unique ID number on it and an emergency telephone number for Appletree Careline, who are at the end of a telephone 24/7

  • Should someone need help, Careline staff can quickly alert the individual's relatives or contacts who are registered as part of the service set-up

  • The wristband service costs £2.00 a month with a £10 registration charge for new customers.  For customers who also have an Appletree Careline community alarm, which provides help and reassurance in the home and garden, 45 pence a week is added to their existing charge
